EPISODE 003: MADDOX & MADDOX

LISTEN

I am honored to introduce my Maddox Haberdasher, my founding partner in the Juneteenth Coalition, a new team of activists on the Monterey Peninsula who formed out of natural synergy to celebrate and uplift black lives and issues in an effort to create equity for the descendants of slaves in our community and beyond . Maddox and I speak about the initial idea which came after the murder of George Floyed in the midst of a rising Black Lives Matter movement in America and an unprecedented pandemic in the modern world.

Our history together as co-hosts of events in the community come up in story as well as our intentions and visions for a growing celebration of blackness in the heart of privilege.
