Season 2 : Episode 1 CHARLENE NIJMEH

LISTEN

TRAIL OF TRUTH : CHARLENE NIJMEH

On my birthday, August 4th, the native tribe of the San Francisco Bay Area, the Muwekma Ohlone people embarked on a journey of justice to gain Federal Recognition of their tribe as first nations people. I had a chance to interview the tribal Chairwoman Charlene Nijmeh a few days before they took off on their journey across the US from San Francisco to Washington DC on HORSEBACK! I was honored to gather with them in Solidarity for their spring ceremony but I did not expect to be shutting down the golden gate bridge with a protest.
