Season 2 : Episode 3 Alex White Plume

LISTEN

Alex White Plume is Oglala Lakota and the husband of Deborah White Plume, a well known Water Protector and Activist. The Oglala Lakota are the tribe that is supporting the Trail of Truth Ride with the horsemanship and support that Muwekma Tribe needed to get across the country.

Alex speaks about returning the ceremonies to the Lakota People after generations of religious occupation with residential schools when their ceremonies were illegal on Pine Ridge Reservation. We also speak about the the current status of building a hemp crop and industry on Pine Ridge where the unemployment rate is 85%.

There are some fun synchronicities within his connections to Germany and the hemp world, Alex is kind, jovial and wonderful to listen to. I hope you enjoy this episode.
