14th MOON

Women carry so much more wealth in wisdom beyond youth; which our society idealizes. Insight into the wisdom of elders is the surest way of not only preserving traditions but sharing experience and increasing the quality and meaning in life; a priceless gift in the face of the challenge of living fully and riding the curve of emotions we feel being creative women, susceptible to cycles of the earth and the flow of blood which changes our entire alchemy to create life. Our society is changing more in a decade than the past 100 years combined, it is a sacred duty to preserve traditions and cultivate them with our young, how else will they know what life is other than what society prescribes. Imagine if we were all celebrated at each passing stage, as we learn new wisdom of our era while being a witness? Questioning: Who do we want to be now? Agile and authentic along the way.

The power of a circle holds us all accountable in a sacred way to be heard and to listen.

Being witnessed is a very powerful and meaningful ceremony.

Our culture has few such traditions, often limited to marriage,

barely fulfilling our need to live in healthy community.

One such circle holds strong in the mountains of Big Sur, where the rugged cliffs meet the Pacific, and people as bold as the coastline take root. Here, for more than 30 years, women have been cycling together as they celebrate the passing stages of first blood, motherhood and cronehood.
